This house built as a Typical Old Ula House Style (Ottoman/Aegean Architecture) for Atmacalar Family.Although the house built by modern Construction techniques,the super structure clad with solid scots pine wood plank which is indispensable element for architectural tradition of Ula House,it became a unique exemple of its kind.
Tanks to supervision of Architect Nail Çakırhan(1910-2008) who received the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1983.He assigned his most talented carpenter crew to create an original Ula House in İçmeler.
Year 1992, the house delivered to Atmacalar Family and they decided to turn the house into a restaurant to share this cultural value with people whom visit the town.Fallowing years,the restaurant was certificated as"Special Touristic Facility" by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
There is not only the house but also its surroundings;landscaping,interior design and decoration reflect the old Turkish living style,traditions and culture.Most İmportantly,this boutique restaurant serves to our guests the selected foods from Traditional Turkish Cuisine with innovative approach.
