Gyumri-Sport City

“Gyumri-Sport City” development foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to serve to the sporting, charitable, cultural, educational and other beneficial needs of Gyumri and regional communities, athletic community, elementary and school-age children, students, sportsmen and others who are permanently or temporarily residing in Gyumri.
Sport City will educate and bring up professional sportsmen along with providing full range of services to amateurs as well

Our Objectives are:

Establishment of a grand infrastructure for the development of sport and sporting culture in the Republic of Armenia.

Covering the required logistics for organization, individuals, companies involved in sport and sporting culture. Support sportsmen and representatives of Paralympics and others interested with necessary equipment and space.

Organize and carry out Olympic and non-Olympic competitions and tournaments.

Create and develop sport culture, establish sport clubs and spur their activities.

Create new job opportunities for residents and non-residents.
Organize the production and realization of sporting goods and equipments.

Our Goals are:

Build and launch a sport and cultural complex with sport halls, gyms, racetracks, swimming pools, shopping mall, hotels, food and entertainment sections.

Cooperate with the international, governmental, regional and civil society organizations, local authorities, mass media, sports associations, federations and clubs etc. working in sport and cultural fields.

Organize sports and cultural festivals, fairs, tournaments, exhibitions etc.

Educate the generation of new athletes through the combination of trainers’ experience and new techniques.

Foster the development and reconstruction of Gyumri.

Stimulate the families, who abandoned the city after the tragic earthquake, to return and build their future in their homeland.
